Product Description: PTFE Slide Bearings are self-lubricating, multilayer bearings consisting of a tinned steel frame, a sintered bronze intermediate layer, and an internal PTFE glide layer. This design is particularly suited for oscillating movements and applications that involve frequent starts and stops.
The bearings feature a very low friction coefficient, allowing them to function without additional lubrication. They can also operate effectively in environments containing oil or water, offering excellent corrosion resistance.
Installation: PTFE Bushings are prefabricated and best installed using a mandrel. When pressing the bearing into the housing, ensure that the gap in the bearing is not located in the load area, as it will be eliminated during installation.
Lubrication: While primarily designed for use without lubrication, if additional lubrication is required, avoid using grease containing molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), as it reacts strongly with the glide layer. Instead, use lithium-based lubricants, commonly known as “white grease.”
Special Dimensions: Custom dimensions are available upon request.
