High leaded tin bronze alloys are designed primarily to enhance machinability. They are well-regarded for their corrosion and abrasion resistance, ensuring a long service life. Typical applications include wire and cable connectors, electrical plug-type connectors, doorknobs, screws and nuts, corrosion-resistant bushings, and rolling mill bearings.

CuSn7Zn4Pb7 Cast Bronze Bushing: Composition: This alloy, also known as Gunmetal, is primarily composed of copper with 7% tin, 4% zinc, and 7% lead.

Properties: It is well-known for its good corrosion resistance, decent wear resistance, and excellent machinability due to the presence of lead which acts as a lubricant. The alloy also exhibits good resistance to fatigue and brinelling.

Applications: CuSn7Zn4Pb7 is typically used in general engineering for components such as bushings, bearings, and gears, especially where lubrication is intermittent. Its properties make it suitable for medium-speed, medium-load applications.

Solid Bronze Bearing CuSn7Zn4Pb7: Similar to the CuSn7Zn4Pb7 cast bronze bushing, these bearings are utilized in scenarios where moderate loads and speeds are expected, and they benefit from the material’s natural lubricity and wear resistance. The alloys CuSn7Zn4Pb7 and CuAl10Ni5Fe5 are both commonly used in the manufacturing of solid bronze bearings and bushings, each offering distinct properties tailored for different engineering applications.
