What is an Oilless Bush? Also referred to as a self-lubricating bearing, this innovative type combines the properties of metal bearings with those of oil-free lubrication bearings. The metal structure supports the load, while a specially formulated solid lubricating material provides air lubrication. These bearings boast high temperature resistance and strong self-lubricating capabilities, making them ideal for heavy, low-speed, reciprocating, or swinging applications where lubrication and oil film formation are difficult. They are also resistant to water and acidic corrosion.

Main Material of Oilless Bushes High-strength brass is predominantly used, cast into bearing shells and bushings. In China, these oil-free bearings, mainly composed of high-strength brass, incorporate orderly arranged radially embedded cylindrical polymer fillers as friction materials—typically graphite, molybdenum disulfide, polytetrafluoroethylene, and motor oil. The combination of copper alloys and non-metallic anti-friction materials offers complementary benefits, such as high load capacity and the elimination of reliance on oil film grease lubrication, thus enabling oil-free operation. The solid lubricants embedded in the bearings facilitate the formation of a lubricating film, significantly enhancing friction and wear performance, providing stability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
